For the skewers

Method

Preparation
  1. In a bowl, mix together the soy sauce, brown sugar, honey, sesame oil, minced garlic, and grated ginger to create the marinade.
  2. Add the chicken pieces to the marinade and ensure they are well-coated. Let them marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
  4. Thread the marinated chicken pieces onto skewers, leaving space between each piece.
Cooking
  1. Place skewers on the grill and cook for about 10-15 minutes, turning occasionally, until the chicken is cooked through.
  2. In the last few minutes of grilling, brush the skewers with additional teriyaki sauce for extra flavor.
Serving
  1. Remove the skewers from the grill and serve hot, garnished with chopped green onions.

Notes

For deeper flavor, marinate the chicken for up to 2 hours. Use a meat thermometer to ensure chicken reaches 165°F (74°C) for safety. Let the skewers rest before serving to maintain juiciness.
