Ingredients
  

Mushrooms and Filling
  • 20 large large white or cremini mushrooms, stems removed
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened Bring to room temp.
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese Adds salty depth.
  • 4 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled Use crisp bacon for texture.
  • 2 tablespoons mushroom stems, finely chopped Chop very fine.
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced Fresh garlic = bigger flavor.
  • 2 tablespoons green onions, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Heat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet.
  2. Cook and crumble the bacon; chop the mushroom stems finely.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, mozzarella, Parmesan, bacon, mushroom stems, garlic, green onions, parsley, olive oil, garlic powder, black pepper, and salt. Mix until smooth.
  4. Spoon the filling into each mushroom cap and press gently.
  5. Arrange filled mushrooms on the baking sheet.
Cooking
  1. Bake for 18 minutes until the caps are tender and the tops have golden edges.
  2. Let them rest for 2–3 minutes before serving.
  3. Optional: Broil for 30 seconds to crisp the top.

Notes

Time-saver: Use pre-cooked bacon. Avoid overcrowding the pan. Variations: Add smoked paprika or swap parsley for thyme.
