Preparation
- In a large skillet over medium heat, warm the olive oil until shimmering.
- Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, cooking until the onion becomes soft and translucent.
- Stir in the ground beef, cooking until browned; break it up with a spoon. Drain excess fat if necessary.
- Transfer the beef mixture to your slow cooker.
- Mix in the crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, oregano, basil, salt, pepper, broth, Worcestershire sauce, and bay leaf.
Cooking
- Cover and cook on low for 6–8 hours or high for 3–4 hours.
- About 20 minutes before serving, cook the spaghetti according to package instructions, then drain.
Serving
- Remove the bay leaf, ladle the Bolognese sauce over the spaghetti, and garnish with freshly grated Parmesan cheese.
Notes
Use fresh herbs for better flavor. Let it simmer longer for richer flavors. Cook pasta al dente for best texture.
