  • 1 pound Ground beef (80 or 85 percent lean)
  • 2 tablespoons Butter For cooking and finishing
  • 4 cloves Fresh garlic Minced
  • 8 ounces Pasta (penne, rotini, shells, or spaghetti) Choose your favorite shape
  • 1 cup Heavy cream For a creamy texture
  • 1 cup Parmesan cheese Grated, for finishing
Optional Seasonings
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt To taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon Paprika Optional

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a large pot or deep skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until no longer pink, approximately 6-8 minutes.
  2. Drain excess grease if necessary.
  3. Add 2 tablespoons of butter and diced onion (if using), cooking for about 3-4 minutes until the onion softens.
  4. Stir in the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
  5. Sprinkle in the Italian seasoning, black pepper, and salt.
Cooking
  1. Pour in the beef broth and bring to a gentle simmer.
  2. Stir in the pasta, covering the pot, and cook for about 10-14 minutes until the pasta is tender and the liquid is reduced.
  3. Reduce heat to low, stir in the heavy cream, and gradually add Parmesan until melted and smooth.
  4. Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Serve hot and enjoy immediately.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. For freezing, wrap tightly and store for up to 3 months. Thaw overnight in the fridge and reheat gently.
