Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch round cake pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time.
  4. Mix in the milk, fresh lemon juice, and lemon zest until fully combined.
  5. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add to the wet mixture until just blended.
  6. Gently fold in the fresh blueberries.
Baking
  1. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  2. Allow the cake to cool completely in the pan before transferring it to a wire rack.
Frosting
  1. In a bowl, beat the cream cheese with powdered sugar and vanilla extract until smooth.
  2. Spread the frosting on top of the cooled cake.
