Main Ingredients
  • 12 pieces Soft slider rolls Foundation of the sliders providing a tender base.
  • 8 oz Deli ham High-quality deli meats recommended for best flavor.
  • 8 oz Provolone or mozzarella cheese Either type of cheese melts beautifully for added flavor.
  • 1 cup Marinara sauce Generous layer for rich, tangy flavor.
  • 1/4 cup Banana peppers or pepperoncini Optional for added heat.
Herb Butter Mixture
  • 1/2 cup Melted butter Used for brushing on the sliders.
  • 1 tbsp Italian seasoning
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup Grated Parmesan

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Lightly grease a 9x13 baking dish or line it with foil.
  3. Slice the whole slab of rolls in half horizontally and place the bottom half in the baking dish.
  4. Spread a thin layer of marinara sauce over the bottom half of the rolls.
  5. Layer the deli meats starting with the ham, followed by salami and optional pepperoni.
  6. Place the cheese slices over the meats.
  7. If using, sprinkle the banana peppers or pepperoncini on top of the cheese.
  8. Top with the top half of the rolls.
Baking
  1. In a small bowl, combine melted butter, Italian seasoning, minced garlic, and Parmesan.
  2. Brush the herb butter mixture over the tops of the sliders.
  3. Cover loosely with foil and bake for 12 to 15 minutes.
  4. Uncover and bake for an additional 3 to 6 minutes until the tops are light golden.
  5. Let sit for about 5 minutes before cutting to allow cheese to settle.

Notes

Make ahead by assembling a day in advance and refrigerating. Serve with extra marinara on the side for dipping.
