  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract Enhances flavor of icing.

Method

Preparation
  1. In a large bowl, mix together the flour, instant yeast, granulated sugar, and salt until well blended.
  2. In a separate bowl, mix the warm milk, melted unsalted butter, and eggs.
  3. Add the wet mixture to the dry ingredients and stir until a dough forms.
  4. Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth.
  5. Place the dough in a warm spot and let it rise for about 1 hour or until it doubles in size.
Filling and Shaping
  1. Roll the dough into a rectangle, spread the softened butter on top, and sprinkle the brown sugar and cinnamon evenly.
  2. Roll the dough tightly into a log and slice it into 12 equal pieces.
  3. Arrange the rolls in a greased baking pan and let them rise for another 30 minutes.
Baking
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Bake the rolls for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
  3. While the rolls bake, prepare the icing by beating together the cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  4. Drizzle icing over warm rolls and serve.

Notes

For best results, do not rush the dough rise. Allow ample time for the dough to develop its flavor and texture. Use unsalted butter for better control over the saltiness.
