  • 8 oz spaghetti or linguine Linguine is preferred for its texture.
Shrimp Ingredients
  • 1 lb large shrimp Use wild-caught shrimp for the best flavor.
  • 4 tablespoons butter Fresh, unsalted butter adds richness.
  • 4 cloves garlic Minced just before cooking for punchy flavor.
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes Adjust to taste for spiciness.
  • 1 lemon juice from Adds freshness to the dish.
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley Chopped, for garnishing.
  • 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese Grated, for serving.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Boil 8 oz of spaghetti or linguine according to package instructions until al dente, then drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, melt 4 tablespoons of butter over medium-high heat until bubbling.
Cooking
  1. Stir in 4 cloves of minced garlic and ½ teaspoon of red pepper flakes, cooking until fragrant (about 1 minute).
  2. Add 1 lb of peeled and deveined shrimp to the skillet, season with salt and pepper, and cook until pink and opaque, around 3-5 minutes.
  3. Toss the cooked pasta into the skillet with the shrimp, adding juice from 1 lemon and 2 tablespoons of chopped parsley.
  4. Serve hot with ¼ cup of grated Parmesan cheese on top.

Notes

For best results, bring shrimp to room temperature and avoid overcrowding the pan. Use a thermometer to ensure shrimp reaches 120°F (49°C) for perfect cooking. Variations include spicy garlic shrimp, vegetarian options, and cheesy garlic shrimp pasta.
