Ingredients

Pasta
  • 300 g spaghetti
For the Sauce
  • 4 cloves fresh garlic, minced Fresh garlic = bigger flavor
  • 100 g unsalted butter Unsalted helps control salt
  • ¼ cup fresh parsley, chopped For color and freshness
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Grated Parmesan cheese for serving Optional but delicious!

Method

Cooking the Pasta
  1. Fill a large pot with water, add salt, and bring it to a boil.
  2. Add the spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente.
Making the Sauce
  1. In a separate large pan, melt the butter over medium heat until it starts to foam.
  2. Add the minced garlic to the melted butter, stirring continuously for 1-2 minutes until fragrant and just golden. Be careful not to burn it!
Combining
  1. Once the pasta is cooked, reserve a cup of pasta water, then drain the pasta and toss it into the garlic butter mix.
  2. Pour in a little reserved pasta water to create a smooth sauce and mix well to coat the pasta.
Seasoning and Serving
  1. Sprinkle in salt, black pepper, and chopped parsley, tossing everything together until well combined.
  2. Plate your pasta and sprinkle generously with Parmesan cheese if desired. Serve immediately while hot!

Notes

Keep in an airtight container for up to 3 days. You can freeze it for up to a month, but it's best stored fresh. Reheat gently on the stove over low heat, adding a splash of water to retain moisture. Common mistake: Don’t overcook the garlic.
