Method
Cooking the Pasta
- Fill a large pot with water, add salt, and bring it to a boil.
- Add the spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente.
Making the Sauce
- In a separate large pan, melt the butter over medium heat until it starts to foam.
- Add the minced garlic to the melted butter, stirring continuously for 1-2 minutes until fragrant and just golden. Be careful not to burn it!
Combining
- Once the pasta is cooked, reserve a cup of pasta water, then drain the pasta and toss it into the garlic butter mix.
- Pour in a little reserved pasta water to create a smooth sauce and mix well to coat the pasta.
Seasoning and Serving
- Sprinkle in salt, black pepper, and chopped parsley, tossing everything together until well combined.
- Plate your pasta and sprinkle generously with Parmesan cheese if desired. Serve immediately while hot!
Notes
Keep in an airtight container for up to 3 days. You can freeze it for up to a month, but it's best stored fresh. Reheat gently on the stove over low heat, adding a splash of water to retain moisture. Common mistake: Don’t overcook the garlic.
