- In a large skillet, cook the bacon over medium heat until crispy, approximately 8-10 minutes. Remove the bacon and reserve the grease.
- In the same skillet with the reserved bacon grease, add the chopped onion. Cook until softened, about 3-4 minutes.
- Stir in the minced garlic and sauté for an additional 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Reduce heat to medium-low, then add the chopped cabbage. Stir well, cover, and let simmer until the cabbage is tender, about 8-10 minutes.
- Season the cabbage with onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper to taste. Sauté uncovered for 2-3 minutes to blend the flavors.
- Top the cooked cabbage with crumbled bacon and serve warm.
Notes
Don't overcrowd the pan for even cooking. Bring ingredients to room temperature for best results. Use high-quality bacon for better flavor.
