Method
Cooking the Pasta
- Boil the shell pasta according to package instructions until al dente; drain and set aside.
Cooking the Beef
- In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef, breaking it apart with a wooden spoon until no longer pink, about 6-8 minutes.
- Stir in the diced onion and minced garlic, cooking until the onion is translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
Building the Sauce
- Pour in the beef broth and bring to a simmer.
- Add in the heavy cream and shredded cheese, stirring until melted and smooth.
Combining
- Mix the cooked shell pasta into the sauce, tossing to coat. Season with salt and pepper to taste and serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley.
Notes
Pro Tips: Don't overcrowd the pan for even browning of beef. Bring ingredients to room temperature for even melting of cheese. Make extra sauce for serving over bread or rice.
