Ingredients

Shrimp Filling
  • 1 lb Fresh shrimp, peeled and deveined High-quality shrimp recommended for best flavor.
  • 8 oz Cream cheese Provides the characteristic creaminess.
  • 1 cup Shredded mozzarella cheese Essential for stretchy texture.
  • 1/4 cup Fresh parsley, chopped Adds freshness and color.
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced Elevates the flavor.
Bread
  • 1 loaf Italian bread To be sliced into thick rounds.
  • 1/4 cup Butter, melted For drizzling over the filled bread bombs.

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Slice the Italian bread into 2-inch thick rounds and hollow out the centers.
Cooking
  1. In a large skillet, melt half of the butter over medium heat. Add the shrimp and cook until pink and opaque (about 3-4 minutes). Remove from heat and chop into small pieces.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, shredded mozzarella, parsley, minced garlic, and chopped shrimp until creamy and well blended.
Assembly and Baking
  1. Fill each hollowed bread round generously with the shrimp mixture.
  2. Drizzle with remaining melted butter and sprinkle extra mozzarella on top if desired.
  3. Bake on the prepared baking sheet for 15-18 minutes, until golden brown and bubbling.

Notes

For best results, avoid overcrowding the pan when cooking the shrimp and use fresh ingredients for maximum flavor. Allow the bread to cool slightly before serving.
