Preparation
- Wash the strawberries: Rinse them gently under cool water, then pat them dry with a paper towel. They need to be dry to help the chocolate stick.
- Melt the chocolate: Place your chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between until it's smooth and glossy. Alternatively, use a double boiler over simmering water.
Assembly
- Dip the strawberries: Hold each strawberry by the stem and dip it into the melted chocolate. Twist it to allow any excess chocolate to drip off.
- Place on parchment: Arrange the coated strawberries on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Leave a little space between each one.
- Let it set: Allow the chocolate to set at room temperature for about 30 minutes, or pop them in the fridge for about 10 minutes to speed things up.
- Serve: Enjoy your delicious Chocolate Covered Strawberries as a dessert or wrap them up for a sweet gift.
Notes
Use a microwave for melting chocolate—just keep an eye on it to avoid burning! If the chocolate isn't sticking, make sure strawberries are completely dry. Drizzle white chocolate over dark chocolate for a pretty finish.
