Ingredients

Main ingredients
  • 1 pound Ground beef Use lean or grass-fed for best flavor.
  • 2 cups Uncooked small pasta (elbow macaroni or shells) Small shapes cook evenly.
  • 2 cups Beef broth Homemade adds depth; store-bought is fine.
  • 1 cup Shredded cheddar cheese Use freshly shredded for best melt.
  • 1 teaspoon Onion powder Adds aromatic flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder Enhances the overall taste.
  • to taste Salt and pepper Adjust to personal preference.

Method

Cooking
  1. In a large skillet, heat over medium heat and cook the ground beef until browned and crumbled, about 5-7 minutes. Drain any excess fat.
  2. Stir in the uncooked pasta, beef broth, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Bring to a boil.
  3. Reduce heat to low, cover, and let simmer for 10-12 minutes, or until the pasta is tender and has absorbed most of the broth.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in the shredded cheddar cheese until melted and creamy.
  5. Serve hot straight from the skillet.

Notes

Pro Tips: Don't overcrowd the pan for even cooking. Use freshly shredded cheese for better melting. Prepare ingredients beforehand for a streamlined process. Variations include adding jalapeƱos for spice or using lentils for a vegetarian twist.
