Preparation
- Preheat the air fryer and cook the French fries according to the package instructions until golden and crisp.
- Meanwhile, preheat the oven to 350°F.
- In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add the ground beef and diced onion, and cook until the beef is browned.
- Add the minced garlic and cook for 30–45 seconds until fragrant. Season with onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
- Drain excess grease, then stir in the cream of mushroom soup and cheddar cheese soup until the mixture is thick and glossy.
- Transfer the beef mixture to a 7×11 casserole dish, spreading it evenly, and layer the cooked fries on top.
- Sprinkle shredded cheddar over the fries.
Baking
- Bake at 350°F for 10–15 minutes until the cheese melts and edges bubble.
Making the sauce
- In a small bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard, pickle juice, dehydrated onions, and black pepper until smooth.
Serving
- Drizzle the sauce over the casserole before serving. Slice into squares and enjoy.
Notes
Use fresh garlic for more flavor. Quick alternative for prep: use pre-diced onions. To avoid sogginess, ensure fries are crisp before layering.
