Ingredients
  

Casserole base
  • 2 pounds ground beef Rich flavor from fresh beef

  • 10.5 ounces cheddar cheese soup Adds cheesiness to the mix
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt to taste salt
  • Black pepper to taste black pepper
Toppings and sauce
  • 28 ounces bag of shoestring French fries Crispy and quick to bake
  • ½ cup cheddar cheese, shredded For a cheesy topping
  • ½ cup mayonnaise Base for the tangy sauce
  • ¼ cup ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon pickle juice
  • ½ teaspoon dehydrated onions

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the air fryer and cook the French fries according to the package instructions until golden and crisp.
  2. Meanwhile, preheat the oven to 350°F.
  3. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add the ground beef and diced onion, and cook until the beef is browned.
  4. Add the minced garlic and cook for 30–45 seconds until fragrant. Season with onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
  5. Drain excess grease, then stir in the cream of mushroom soup and cheddar cheese soup until the mixture is thick and glossy.
  6. Transfer the beef mixture to a 7×11 casserole dish, spreading it evenly, and layer the cooked fries on top.
  7. Sprinkle shredded cheddar over the fries.
Baking
  1. Bake at 350°F for 10–15 minutes until the cheese melts and edges bubble.
Making the sauce
  1. In a small bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard, pickle juice, dehydrated onions, and black pepper until smooth.
Serving
  1. Drizzle the sauce over the casserole before serving. Slice into squares and enjoy.

Notes

Use fresh garlic for more flavor. Quick alternative for prep: use pre-diced onions. To avoid sogginess, ensure fries are crisp before layering.
