  • 0.5 teaspoons ground nutmeg
  • 0.25 teaspoons ground allspice
  • 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour Helps bind the filling.
Egg Roll Components

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the peeled and diced apples, granulated sugar, ground cinnamon, ground nutmeg, ground allspice, and all-purpose flour. Mix until evenly coated and set aside.
Assembling
  1. Lay an egg roll wrapper on a clean surface with a corner pointing towards you. Place 2 tablespoons of the apple mixture in the center.
  2. Gently lift the bottom corner of the wrapper over the filling, then fold in the side corners. Roll up tightly, sealing the top corner with a little water.
Frying
  1. In a large skillet, heat oil to 350°F (175°C) over medium-high heat.
  2. Carefully add 3-4 egg rolls to the hot oil and fry for 2-3 minutes on each side or until golden brown and crispy.
  3. Use a slotted spoon to remove the egg rolls from oil and place them on paper towels to absorb excess oil.
Serving
  1. Dust with powdered sugar for an elegant finish and enjoy warm!

Notes

Do not overcrowd the pan to avoid sogginess, and consider making extra filling. Serve with vanilla ice cream or caramel sauce for a delightful treat.
